Dropping a note in here to mention a second spring art show in Downtown Knoxville. For June First Friday, I’ll be at Sapphire in Downtown Knoxville, please stop by and see me and see my art in person! I’ll be bringing some of the floral paintings, as well as, some beautiful abstract landscapes. The abstract landscapes I’ve been painting are inspired by our Smoky Mountains and my love for wildflowers. I hope to see you there!
I’m sharing my new spring collection of impressionist florals and landscapes for May First Friday, in Downtown Knoxville. I’m excited because this is my first full collection of acrylic paintings! I’m also sharing my work on Instagram if you are interested to see my process.
The event for May First Friday will be from 4:30-7:30:
Hampton Inn & Suites, Downtown Knoxville

Wow, here we are in December! I’m thrilled that I have committed to making these wallpapers and stuck with it every month. I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have enjoyed drawing, painting, editing, and making a pattern for these wallpapers. Thank you for checking out this month’s wallpapers!
Coming in with November wallpapers! October was such a busy month, I hope we’re all ready for the busyness of November and December! I’ve been taking it back to my sketchbook the last couple of weeks. Nice to get back to drawing and painting those sketches. Looking forward to putting those paintings into patterns and more. I’m so very thankful for your interest in my art and hopefully loving these wallpapers you choose to put on your phones, iPads, and desktops. I really do have fun creating these patterns every month!
I love the October wallpapers I designed so much that I’m offering them in two colors; cream and plum!
This pattern is filled with pretty mums, thistle and craspedia! A perfect transition to Fall. I love doing new designs each month. The wallpapers keep me designing new things and pushing forward with my patterns and design work!
What do you think about some of these illustrations as a print? Let me know what you think on Instagram or below in the comments, thank you for following along!

Here with September wallpapers for your desktop and digital devices! It's a few days late, because I was enjoying a holiday weekend away with my husband celebrating our 16th anniversary!
This pattern is made from a watercolor painting I did this summer. I loved the colors so much that I left the pattern the color I painted them originally. I hope you enjoy this pattern design of forget me nots. This one reminds me of my mother; she loves the color blue and this month is her birthday! Enjoy your September!

August is here with the end of summer and the hope for Fall weather! And back to school! For this month's design, I chose sunflowers inspired by a bouquet I bought at my local farmer's market.
I loved painting these flowers! So you can see, I was inspired to use sunflowers for the month of August. I hope you enjoy these designs. The desktop features a minimal design with a calendar, while the mobile devices have a different design.
Not sure how July is already here, I was busy enjoying June with my family! This past month, I've been working on Wedding calligraphy signs and a few other things that I hope to post soon, business cards for a friend's local flower farm business, adding a few prints to my Etsy shop, and definitely spending time with my girls.
Hello June! Happy to see you with your summery colors. For this month's wallpapers, I've designed a pattern that reminds me of citrus. Think orange, lime, lemon and bright pinks. Super fun floral pattern that I hope you will love. The desktop features a calendar.
Really in love with the desktop, take a closer look and view more photos below:

April is here, the birds are singing and roses are growing. And that is my inspiration for this pattern design I created. This is one of my recent favorite patterns, that I use on cards and I hope to make it available on other surfaces. I hope you enjoy this month's wallpapers for you phone, iPad, and desktop.

Hey guys! I hope the start of your year is going well. I'm sharing with you February wallpapers for your iPhone, iPad, android, and desktop. I have been working on taking my sketches, designs, and watercolor paintings and making patterns out of them. I hope to have a collection to offer soon. Until then, here is a sneak peek at one of my patterns. Our February has been a bit rainy, so I think these blue-grey watercolor dots are perfect for this month. Enjoy the download, let me know how you like them, or tag me on Instagram. #MelissaHarrellCreative
Hope everyone is having a lovely Fall. I thought I would share this November free printable for you to download to decorate your walls or your phone with. November is hand-lettered on a pink background. Enjoy!
Hey you guys! I'm in the process of setting up this new website for my art. I'm thrilled to have a shop here and post some of my artwork for sale. I will have original art, prints for sale, as well as, custom work for sale, here in my shop. I will also be setting up a newsletter to share with you my new art and setting up free samples of my artwork, if you're on my special email list (think free iPad, phone and desktop background with my watercolor, acrylic painting, or lettering). Many new things to look forward to!
